A solution-focused approach is used in couples counselling to help both parties get closer to a goal that is co-created by them with guidance from myself. Solutions-focused is specific in not needing to dwell on the past but instead reviewing necessary aspects of conflict and frustration between the couple and then crafting a present day and practical plan of action to help them reconnect and regain a satisfying relationship.
Change is a process and positive changes are identified, reviewed and monitored as couples counselling progresses to an established end goal.
